The rumor mills have given the Dell subnotebook a party of separate names these quondam few months. We've heard it called the whole shooting match from the Inspiron Mini to the Dell E. Even as recently as earlier this week, it was called the. Well, that all changed with today's announcement. After what seemed dig an eternity, the Dell Mini 9 has officially been unveiled to the well-known and it's convenient to be launched into your living room.
The specs and pricing are bonny much in edge with what we've been hearing thus far, but the worth is just a smudge higher than the $299 starting side that we were hoping for. All versions of the Dell Mini 9 truck with a waxed 8.9-inch LED flash (1024x600) and the Intel Atom Processor N270 (1.6GHz, 533Mhz FSB, 512K cache).
The $349 configuration of the Dell Mini 9 gets you Ubuntu, 512MB RAM, 4GB SSD, and 2GB of online Box.net storage. Bump it up to $399 to get Windows XP Home Edition, 512MB RAM, and an 8GB stalwart testify drive. The range-topping $449 form is also powered by XP and gets affluent with 1GB of RAM and a 16GB SSD. On a pretension note, if you acquire a Studio 15, XPS m1530, or XPS m1330 between 6am tomorrow (Central) and 6am on Tuesday the 9th, you can get the sale-priced Mini 9 for just $99.
