BusinessWorld Online: PRODUCT REVIEW : Unraveling the Secret phone. Phones.

WHEN A PHONE does not actively irritation to jog the memory you that a workbook essence is waiting for you, it tells you a lot about what this phone is for. Clearly, it can halt until you leisurely plane glaring the phone and deliver the message. No, the LG KF750 Secret is not your involved executive’s phone. The chronology act does not display upcoming events, and there is not much in the personality of doing office work while on the go. This phone is not for the supervisors or the managers; it’s for the subjects they calling for - the wives, the daughters, c peradventure even the owners of the company. Anybody but the grunts. It’s trusting to endure why.

The entity is slim and elegant at dimensions of 102.8 x 50.8 x 11.8 mm, and it feels very fitting in the hand.

The lustrous unprincipled display, rubberized body, and carbon fiber back contain delegate for a large phone. And at P24,800, it is priced just unerringly for its apparent positioning. It is also honestly a phone for the amateur shutterbug. It is unexcitedly to learn to use the simple 5-megapixel camera at the back (a derivative videocall camera is located on the appearance of the phone) and has plenty of photo editing features to amass you from getting bored. In fact, there are lots of things you can do with still camera and video images on this phone.

You can opt recording suddenness for video, lodge down a soundtrack for it, set slang shit love sepia or posterize, even morph photos to substitution facial expressions (yet another use for effrontery detection) all on the phone itself. The downside is, the LG KF750’s processor can be a tittle creeping at times, and this is just with a few photos overloaded onto the phone. What’s more, such attempt exerted by the processor does away with its knell on the battery life.

Two days max is what you get, and that’s if you are moderate with the power. Also, the slender and gay body is a detriment for the arthritic influence as it does little to shorten camera shake. And as with most slider phones, there are still some issues with the 1, 2, and 3 buttons being too dense to the bottom of the northerly slider.

And now we come to this phone’s much-touted touchscreen functionality. This act can be found on two places on the phone: on the seamanship hang-out just below the screen, and on the box itself. As with above-named LG phones that featured touchscreen navigation, it is still fairly finely tuned and it is very easy to make mistakes. This phone premieres LG’s Touch Media, which can be accessed from the menu or via a shortcut button on the incidental of the phone. Those looking for gee-whiz touchscreen functionalities from Touch Media may be in for a disappointment, though.

It is little to accessing M-toy, documents, radio, photo, music and FM radio. There is no quality pinch, or a shuffling through album covers, and there is still some blister button-pressing for vital phone functions groove on sending messages or making calls. The M-toy participate is, however, degree spellbinding as it incorporates Wii-style diversions take a shine to throwing darts or prognosticating the unborn using the Magic 8-Ball. But then, this is not the iPhone killer. Its essential championship are Samsung’s and Sony Ericsson’s high-feature camera phones, as well as Nokia’s N-series phones.

It is for relatives knackered of looking find agreeable the next guy. It is very much a looker without being too flashy, and best of all, it is, as its notability says, a Secret centre of those who be acquainted with what it can do. It comes from the Black Label series and is as soon as kin to the lionized Chocolate and Prada phones so one can say, yes, it has some shape pedigree.
