The third-annual provisions drive, sponsored by Learning Corps, continues through Oct. 24. Donations can be made at any Barren County straightforward school, the Barren County Middle School or at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Glasgow. Jerri Clark, with the Learning Corps, said the faction got knotty through working with Learning Corps program volunteers. "Learning Corps has members working at the Barren County Middle School and the elementaries," Clark said.



"The Learning Corps is a volunteer program like to the Peace Corps. They correct at the way of life as reading and math coaches and also doing things adulate this to supporter other people." The Learning Corps Food Drive is function of the governmental "Make a Difference Day," on Oct. 25. "On the 25th, we will come together all of our items, gauge downright ounces and give to townsperson eats banks," Clark said.






"At the schools, we will have shopping carts set up every matinal for students to put their donations in." Donations must be non-perishable eatables items and can be dropped off at any of the locations. Last year, the Learning Corps serene more than nine tons of chow and was able to handle every commons pantry in a five-county area.
