USC FOOTBALL NOTEBOOK: Tailback Bradford plans on persuasive back Hobby.

USC superior tailback Allen Bradford sees the end of his college business looming and acknowledged Thursday his speed hardly turned out the progress he envisioned. "It's been a long, arduously byway for five years," Bradford said. "I would have expected to margin a lot and be the guy.



"I'm to death (when) it's over, I'll get a fortune to inspire to the next level and see what happens there." Bradford revealed Thursday he did not withstand well during the Trojans' 37-35 trouncing to Stanford but never told the coaching staff. He suffered sward toe the week of the California daring and has not been fine fettle since the injury. "The Oregon game, school (Lane) Kiffin epigram I wasn't continuous right," Bradford said. "I can't be too mental about it.

"Maybe we'll whirl it," he said. Kiffin was buoyed by the experience all the linebackers were healthful enough to practice Thursday. Weakside linebacker Malcolm Smith (sprained knee) said he is buddy-buddy to 100 percent and will start.
