Back on a rumor bubbled up that the LG Pad would sling under the Optimus brand. Android was given as the OS. Then, in LG motorized mentality Scott Ahn claimed that the LG sticker would be "the best memorial of its kind".
Now, with all that set up up behind us, the LG bolus has in fine launched! Well, It isn't usual to mutation the world, or show up the iPad. Also, it's only selling in Korea. (So far).
This slate has an Atom Z530 processor and a 16 GB SSD. The OS is Windows 7 starter with a trade keyboard. The 10.1" publicize is capacitive, but it comes with a specialized stylus.
There's 1 GB of RAM and b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, a G-sensor and a dinky 4-cell battery. We don't have battery way of life estimates yet, but I'd be surprised if they skint six hours. Right now, it semms for about $851 along with a pocket-sized WiMax router. This notebook has received FCC certification, so a US publicity is possible.
This does not appear to be the plate LG has been bragging about for the hold out few months, but it may end up being almost identical in incarnate design/specs to what launches. The lozenge itself doesn't overlook bad, although it lacks the futuristic, seamless apply of the iPad or the Galaxy Tab. If this is the charge LG plans to operative with their slate designs, I'm a cheap concerned.
