Derek Boogaard, who tired six seasons in the National Hockey League, has been found dead. He was 28. The New York Rangers, for whom the big winger played this days of old season, confirmed the disaster deceased Friday night. Cause of undoing has not been ascertained but, according to the New York Daily News, not fair skylarking is not suspected. Derek was an hellishly good and caring individual, said president and accustomed foreman Glen Sather in a proclamation on the teams website. He was a very circumspect person, who will be at a high missed by all those who knew him.
We grant our deepest sympathies to his family, friends and teammates during this uncompromising time. Though Boogaard was one of the most feared fighters in the NHL, he also had his open-handed side. He founded Boogaards Booguardians, a program that hosted naval members and their families at Rangers house games.
