LG 50PG6000: A plasma TV that will turn you go 'ooohh'. LG televisions.

Here at Crave you can as a rule bid when an absorbing commodity turns up, because a little flock forms, making comments, coming over to have a front and possibly make noises dig "ooohh" and sometimes even "aaahh". So today, when the 50PG6000 50-inch arrived in a spar half the dimension of a car, a multitude of reviewers, subs and video guys gathered around to lookout the opulent unboxing. It in reality is from A to Z a piece of kit, and the pleasure went well beyond getting it out of the box. Everyone here was in agreement -- it's a unusual piece of equipment.

The face of the screen is finished in one overweight piece of glass, which gives the in one piece TV a sleek look that impresses even the most glutted. There were further noises of blessing when we noticed that this gargantuan set has a mammoth four HDMI sockets and a package of other less important inputs, including a brace of. This is clearly a TV that means some savage business. There's also JPG and MP3 shore up offered via a USB socket on the faction of the TV. Behind the chic exterior, the 50PG6000 offers a (slightly disappointing) 720p plasma display, which supports inputs of up to 1080p/24 -- although, as you'd expect, these are scaled to the inhabitant doggedness of the panel.

The TV also has a 100Hz mode, for reducing any unpleasant shift effects, and a sport style for owners. There's even something called 'clear speech' that aims to enact discussion easier to hear.
