Usgs Earthquake. Quakes near Borrego bump San Diego County Hobby.

The first, a consequence 4.9, was recorded at 8:08 p.m. The moment was a note 4.5. They were felt throughout the county, including Julian, El Cajon, Escondido, Pacific Beach, Del Mar and Mission Valley.



The epicenter of the start temblor was nine miles north-northwest of Borrego Springs, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The support was 10 miles north-northwest of Borrego. They were on the Coyote Creek fault.






USGS geophysicist Dale Grant said quakes of the order that occurred Saturday nightfall are to the nth degree undistinguished for that area. They were considered defuse and were felt throughout Southern California. The USGS said the shaking was felt as far north as Barstow and as far south as Mexicali. The epicenter was about 29 miles south of Palm Springs and 56 miles northeast of San Diego.



Tony Cecena, a clerk at the Borrego Springs Resort, said the building’s telescope shook but did not break, and the resource had no damage. He called the shaking "minor" and said the tremble wasn’t as the same as others he has felt in the Borrego area. The USGS reported several lassie aftershocks in a 15-minute term following the quake.



In El Cajon, Jim Eskridge said he was in his upstairs apartment sitting at his computer on a desk seat with rollers and the chairwoman moved back and forth. He said the blinds on the window were shaking. At Petco Park, some sports writers covering the Padres target with the Seattle Mariners said they felt the astonish in the cram box.
