LG Display mulls connection with Taiwan's AmTRAN. LG televisions.

SEOUL -- LG Display Co., the world's second-largest maker of liquid-crystal displays, said it's light of an affiliation with Taiwan's AmTRAN Technology Co. LG Display may also lend a hand or grow partnerships with other companies, the Seoul-based panel maker said in a regulatory filing yesterday, without providing details. The Economic Daily News reported in week LG Display is discussing buying a tie in AmTRAN, a Taipei-based assembler of LCD televisions.



LG Display may procure 30 percent of AmTRAN or attitude a collaborative hazardous undertaking with the Taiwan company's affiliate, Vizio Inc., the Chinese-language newspaper said.
