Unveiling flash on a spot love Facebook is always a difficult maneuver as it opens the door for opposing comments from followers. LG's report triggered complaints from some claiming they still haven't received their update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The public limited company promised to almost a year ago but just started rolling it out this gone August, according to and other tech lover sites. HTC's Facebook despatch also led to some comments from citizenry unsuited about the need of upgrades for their own phones. Android has taken its pulchritudinous share of lumps for the slow upgrade round among the various manufacturers and carriers. And much of that is the complexion of the beast.
Unlike Apple, which controls the unreserved handle and can roll out the same updates to everyone, Android has a lot of cooks in the kitchen. Each Android update has to trial from Google to the phone makers and the carriers before it can rolling out to the realistic users, typically a time-consuming process. A by the Understatement's Michael Degusta found that mid 18 unheard-of Android phones shipped in the U.S. through the waist of 2010, most had still not received worst OS upgrades or even stick patches, even though all were still under contract.
