BENTON HARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- Whirlpool Corp. said on Friday that it has won a unmistakeable fracas against LG Electronics in a Delaware region court. The jury awarded Whirlpool nearly $1.8 million in damages.

The argument pertained to Whirlpool\'s charter for a refrigerator door ice maker. The jury found that unquestioned LG refrigerators infringed upon that patent. Whirlpool said it will look a endless warning against LG when the judgment is finalized later this year.

Shares of Whirlpool knock 76 cents to $85.77 in high noon trading.
